Longtime High School Boys Basketball Coach, Jeff Parsons Taking Admin Position at Fulton High School

In a press release from Wethersfield High School in Kewanee, they have announced that long-time boys basketball coach, Jeff Parsons has accepted a position in Fulton, Illinois.

Wethersfield High School Teacher, Athletic Director, and Head Boys’ Basketball Coach, Jeff Parsons, has accepted a full-time administrative position at Fulton High School in Fulton, Illinois. Mr. Parsons will serve as the Assistant Principal/Athletic Director in his new position.

Coach Parsons has served as a physical education teacher and head boys’ basketball coach at Wethersfield for the past nineteen years, and he has the distinction of holding the record for the most career wins in Wethersfield history. In 2019, Coach Parsons was selected into the Illinois Basketball Coaches Hall of Fame.

Coach Parsons and his teams have always represented the values our school district tries to install in our students. He believes it is important to teach his players to be good sports, to be humble in victory and defeat, and to always positively represent our school district.

During Coach Parsons tenure, he has had hundreds of players selected to the LTC Academic All-Conference team, players well represented on the LTC All-Conference team, players selected to the All-State Basketball Teams, and players who have gone on to compete at the collegiate level.

The Wethersfield School Districts would like to wish Coach Parsons the best of luck in his transition to Fulton High School and we thank him for his dedication to the students of the Wethersfield School District.

A search process is currently underway to find a replacement for Mr. Parsons.
