The Monmouth-Roseville Titan softball program took a big step forward last year, winning more games than they have ever won in a single season and also having some postseason success, as well.

After playing in a regional championship game for the first in Monmouth-Roseville school history last year, Titan softball team is looking to take another step forward this season. The girls captured a school record 8 wins in 2021. This spring will be the Titan’s first year of being members of the Three Rivers Conference. The TRAC is chock-full of teams that have had prior success in the postseason and the Titan girls will hope to use that tough conference schedule to prepare them for this year’s postseason. Monmouth-Roseville has a strong senior class and head coach Jarrod Hippen is hoping with a solid season last year, his girls will take pride in the program.

The Titans fell in their opening game of the season to Ridgewood 14-5. Monmouth-Roseville’s offense started the year off strong. Four players put together multiple hits in the opener, including Ailexa Hunter hitting for the cycle. The Titans will look to get in the win column tonight as they take on Galva in a non-conference road game, as well as Abingdon-Avon on Monday.
