New Business Development in the City of Monmouth

New business development is coming in the City of Monmouth shares Mayor Rod Davies:

“Council also approved a lease agreement for 200 South Main Street, the old Vaughn’s building to Axel Borja, who has left his current location and will be moving into the Vaughn space to put El MerKadito restaurant in there. He requested a Class I Liquor License for that location as well, which Council approved. Gilberto Vasquez is opening a restaurant in the old Hardee’s building, and he also requested a Class I Liquor License and Council did approve that as well.”

Furthermore, the City of Monmouth Building and Zoning monthly report, several projects across town continue to make progress toward completion, including the First United Methodist Church, the airport hangar, and OSF Holy Family Medical Center’s new Emergency Department. Meanwhile, interior renovations are underway at the former Alexander Lumber by Lakeshore Recycling and exterior walls at the townhomes project are being put in place.
