The new Recharge Teen Center, located at 213 South Main Street in Monmouth, is having an open house today from 3 to 7 pm. Services Coordinator Amy Rogers explains what to expect this afternoon:

“At three o’clock the Monmouth Area Chamber of Commerce is going to do a ribbon cutting. We have invited the entire community to come and tour. We are going to have tacos there and you will be able to walk through the entire facility. Parents are going to be able to enroll their teen and sign a permission slip. At that point we will keep it on file and the teen can come in at any time during our business hours.”

Opening Thursday, March 31st to area teens, the Recharge Teen Center will offer art and cooking classes, volunteer opportunities, and life skills.
