Richard Pool of Avon passed away Sunday, March 27, 2022, at his home.  He was born July 12, 1946, in Avon Il the son of Hallie and Helen (Hoxworth) Pool.  He married Leslie Sweborg.

Rich is survived by his wife Leslie of Avon, His Children Lori (Craig) Kinley, Doug (Stefanie) Pool, Dawn (Wes) Parker, Patrick London and Kate London. His grandchildren Chase, Cole, Kailey, Braden, Andrue, Hailey, Alex, Cameron, Jay, Prudence, Patience, and Kaiden Richard.

He was preceded in death by parents and his brother Gene Pool

Rich was a member of the Avon Fire Department for 25 years where he also served as Fire Chief.  He was a lifelong farmer and owned and operated Avon Farmers Elevator.  He enjoyed to golf.  He was a lifelong Cubs fan.

Memorial Service will be held Monday April 4, 2022, at 11:00 am at the Prairie City Presbyterian Church with Kurt Ayers officiating.  Inurnment will be in Avon Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to Avon Fire Department.  Online condolences may be made at www.wisefamilyfuneralhome.com. Wise Family Funeral Home in Avon in charge of arrangements.
