Strom Center Offers Check-In Phone Calls to Local Seniors

Share

For those seniors that may live alone, Strom Center offers a telephone program where volunteers stay in touch with those individuals, shares Director Carol McCrery:

“That program allows for volunteer callers to make daily or semi-weekly or whatever; it is up to the person being called how many calls they want from that caller. Basically, it is a way for that person in their home to keep in touch. A lot of people may be living alone or just don’t get out a lot, they appreciate just having somebody to check in with them”

Serving seniors in Warren and Henderson Counties, Strom Center continues to offer Zoom BINGO and other events for individuals to remain involved from the comfort of their own home. Those interested in joining the Zoom activities are asked to contact Strom to receive the links beforehand by calling, 309-734-5677.
