Tammy L. Wolbers, 42, of Long Island, NY, formerly of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 3:38 pm, Saturday, February 26, 2022 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, IL. 

Tammy was born August 17, 1979 in Pekin, IL, the daughter of Dean C. and Carol L. (Reiter) Wolbers.  She was raised and educated in Monmouth, graduating from Monmouth High School in 1997.  Tammy later graduated from Belmont University in Nashville, TN with a degree in economics.  

During high school, Tammy worked at WMOI radio station in Monmouth.  While at Belmont University, she worked at the university radio station.  After graduation Tammy worked at Deutsche Bank for 2 years before moving to New York City to be a live-in nanny for three years.  For the last 15 years she has worked as an investment banker for the Bank of New York Mellon.  She enjoyed shopping, traveling, making crafts and baking.  Tammy enjoyed volunteering with Big Brothers & Big Sisters.  Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. 

Survivors include her mother, Carol L. Wolbers of Monmouth, IL and one brother, Darren Wolbers of Ames, IA; several aunts, uncles and cousins. 

She was preceded in death by her father and brother, David D. Wolbers, and cousin, Jenni Howe McGruder. 

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 7, 2022 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL, Monmouth.  Interment will take place at Warren County Memorial Park, Monmouth.  Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m., Sunday, March 6, 2022 at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Gift of Hope or the Glen Cove YMCA, Long Island, NY.  Tammy’s family requests that you wear something pink or Chicago Cubs apparel.  If you are unable to attend the service in person, it will be live streamed on the McGuire & Davies Funeral Home Facebook page.
