Tina Denise Crawford, 59, formerly of Galesburg, returned home on Thursday, March 17, 2022, at peace with family at her side.

She was born March 1, 1963, in Chicago, the daughter of Dorothy Crawford Mitchell. Tina’s childhood and adolescence were spent in Chicago, Los Angeles, California, then Galesburg; and finally in Bloomington, where she lived until the end of her life. She attended Galesburg High School, where she obtained her diploma, then attended Carl Sandburg College.

Tina was a hard-working mother and a devoted friend. She was a strong, independent spirit who loved those who loved her. Tina was a private person, but enjoyed spending time with her loved ones, especially her grandkids. Tina’s favorite color was purple and she loved watching her shows.

Tina is survived by six children, Fay Crawford, Tylynn Crawford, Tyson Crawford, Will Crawford, Whitney Crawford, and Frank Crawford; her mother, Dorothy Mitchell; her three brothers, Gerald Crawford, Curtis Crawford, and Kevin Mitchell; a sister, Doris (Florence) Mitchell; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Tina will truly be missed by friends and family. Tina will live on through her family who will continue to carry her legacy.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel. Funeral service will begin at noon with Rev. Jeremie L. Kilgore officiating. Cremation will be accorded following the service. Memorial contributions in Tina’s name may be directed to the family.
