As the school year is dwindling down, a summer job is right around the corner. Locally, McDonald’s and their independent franchises help employees further their education through their Archways to Opportunity program says Monmouth McDonald’s owner Trina Gendron:

“I have 14 graduates this year. Congratulations to all of our graduates. We will be announcing that and we have a special gift for them this year and then we also do $2,500 every year for college tuition for every employee. We are really hoping that all of our graduates take advantage of that next fall and ongoing to help support their careers and their schooling.”

The tuition assistance program is offered to those employed at McDonald’s for at least 90 cumulative days, work an average or 15 hours a week, and have a significant performance rating or better. Individuals can start their career at McDonald’s by visiting http://mchire.com.
