Mrs. Dorothy Ann Morrow, 85, of Galesburg passed from her Earthy life to her Heavenly home at 10:00 pm Monday, April 25, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.

Dorothy was born April 18, 1937, in Galesburg, the daughter of William N. and Annabelle (Johnson) Little, Sr. She first married Willard Gatlin, then James Kelley and later Charles W. Morrow, Sr. on June 22, 1964, in Chicago, Illinois.

Dorothy is survived by her husband of 58 years, Charles; her children, Charles “Wes” (Portia) Morrow, Jr. of Indianapolis, Indiana, Patricia Davis of Rock Island, Illinois, and Barbara A. Kelley of Galesburg; seven grandchildren, Michelle, Lamar, Marnesha, Brian, Dabrina, Gabrielle, and Chelsea and many great grandchildren survive. She is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Elizabeth Kelley in 1986 and her brother, William Little, Jr. in 2006.

Dorothy graduated from Galesburg High School in 1955 and attended Brown Business College and Carl Sandburg College. Dorothy worked as an aide at the Galesburg Research Hospital, later working as an office clerk for the Admiral/Maytag Corporation, and Burlington Northern Railroad. She then worked as a traffic clerk for Butler Manufacturing. She retired as an administrative assistant for the State of Illinois Department of Human Services. Dorothy was a lifetime member, was very faithful and extremely active within the Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church. She devoted her time as a volunteer for OSF Hospice thru OSF St. Mary Medical Center.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 am Saturday, April 30, 2022, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel. The Rev. James Hailey, III, Rev. Tyson Parks, III and her nephew, Deacon Michael Crummer will officiate services. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 am Saturday at the chapel. Cremation will follow services with burial at a later date in East Linwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Allen Chapel A.M.E.
