Gerald D. “Jerry” Bock, age 74, of Galesburg, Illinois died at 8:42 P.M. on Monday, march 28, 2022 at Kindred Hospital, Peoria, Illinois.

He was born on August 8, 1947 in Galesburg, Illinois the son of Alvin and Phyllis (Runyon) Bock. He attended and graduated from Galesburg High School, Galesburg, Illinois. He then received his Beautician Degree and his Health Care Administration Degree.

Surviving is a sister, Stella (John Friend) Durdle of Galesburg, Illinois; and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Harry Bock.

He worked as a hairdresser in Galesburg, then he owned and operation his own shop in Peoria, Illinois. Later e became a Health Care Administration in Peoria.  He enjoyed cars, and loved animals, always have a cat or dog or both in his home.

Cremation Rites will be accorded. Graveside services will be held at a later date at the Maquon Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Knox County Humane Society. Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes & Crematory have been entrusted with his wishes. On-line condolences and/or expressions of sympathy may be sent through www.hurd-hendricksfuneralhome.com
