Macomb Police Investigating Stabbing Incident

On Wednesday April 20, 2022, at approximately 11:25 pm, Macomb Police Department was dispatched to 101 Wigwam Hollow Circle for a report of a fight involving multiple individuals. Upon arrival, officers conducted a preliminary investigation and determined that two individuals were stabbed during an altercation. Two victims from the stabbing were transported to the McDonough District Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Officers later made contact with a suspect, who was identified by one of the stabbing victims. The individual was taken into custody by officers and transported to the hospital for an injury sustained during the altercation.

Members of the Macomb Police Investigations Division, McDonough County Sheriff’s Office and WIU Office of Public Safety responded to the scene, following the initial radio call for service. Three individuals were taken into custody by officers, in relation to this incident.

This incident remains under investigation.
