Monmouth-Roseville’s Ramirez Named DAR Good Citizen Award Recipient

The Chief Shaubena Chapter, Roseville, IL, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, would like to recognize David Ramirez of Monmouth-Roseville High School, as their 2021-2022 Good Citizen Award recipient. David Ramirez’s parent is Luz Zermeno of  Guadalajara, Mexico.

While in high school, David Ramirez participated in FFA and served as the Chapter President and the Section 4 Vice-President. He is also a member of the National Honors Society and the captain of the Speech Team. Finally, he is a member of the Student Advisory Council for the Illinois Board of Education.

The DAR Good Citizen Award was created in 1934 and is intended to encourage and reward the qualities of:

  • Dependability (truthfulness, honesty, punctuality, etc.)
  • Service (cooperation, helpfulness, responsibility, etc.)
  • Leadership (personality, self control, initiative, etc.)
  • Patriotism (unselfish loyalty to American ideals)

 David Ramirez was recognized by the Chief Shaubena Chapter at their meeting on March 8, 2022. Congratulations to David Ramirez on this well-deserved recognition.
