Parents Of Child Found Dead in Peoria Charged With Murder

Share

The parents of an eight-year-old boy found dead last month inside his Peoria home are facing murder charges.  Stephanie Jones and Brandon Walker were indicted yesterday on six counts of first-degree murder.  Navin Jones died after he was found unresponsive at his parents’ home on North Gale Avenue on March 29th.  The Peoria County Coroner determined Navin died due to physical abuse and neglect.  Prosecutors say text messages between his parents discussed locking Navin in a room, beating him because he had urinated in his bedroom, and tying him up in the basement.
