Skip the Referral; Have Your Aches and Pains Treated by Physical Therapy

Since 2001, Cottage Rehab and Sports Medicine has been serving Monmouth and the surrounding communities while also providing athletic training services for Monmouth College and the local area high schools for the past 15 years. Doug Price, Clinic Manager at the Monmouth location says their services treat a wide range of diagnoses that patients can now receive by direct access:

“We also have always offered free screens. It started out with sports. We started doing the free screens with sports and then turned into why are we not offering this to everybody. We started offering them to anybody off the street and the beautiful thing about this today is now Illinois is a direct access state. It used to be you had to go to your doctor, take that time to have the doctor take a look at you and then give you an order to come to physical therapy. Three years ago, that all changed. Now you can just come directly to a physical therapist and have them take a look. We will do a thorough evaluation and if necessary we will start the therapy process.”

Cottage Rehab and Sports Medicine is independently owned and operated and remains focused on a patient’s well-being.
