The United Red Storm softball team are (1-2) in their last three games, losing to Orion and splitting a double header against Abingdon-Avon on Saturday. Despite the two losses, the Red Storm have played pretty solid softball, actually either leading or being tied in the later innings in each of the defeats. More often than not, in the game of softball, games can be decided by merely one bad defensive inning. United head coach Marc McMahon says that’s exactly the case for his ballclub last week.
The (2-3) Red Storm softball girls are on the field on Tuesday afternoon as they head to Stronghurst for the first of two Lincoln Trail Conference games against the (7-4) West Central Heat. The two teams will play again at United High School on Thursday.
