200 athletes from ten counties across Western Illinois will compete Saturday, May 7th in the annual Special Olympics Region F Spring Games at Sunny Lane Field in Monmouth and Director Cathy Betar says they are in great need of volunteers:

“We still need at least 100 volunteers to come out on Saturday, May 7th to help us with everything from softball throw to track events to running long jump and standing long jump and shot put. If anybody is available, we should be done by 3:00 in the afternoon, maybe even earlier. We are asking volunteers to show up around 9 am and we will take individuals 12 and older. We are also going to be setting up on Friday during the day. We have shifts from 10 am on Friday until 12:30 and noon to 2:30 pm and we are going to provide them lunch.”

Signup to be a volunteer on Saturday, May 7th by visiting https://soill.volunteerhub.com/lp/regionf/?format=0&filter={}#_=_ or by calling the office at 309-734-5903.
