A Busy Summer on Tap for the Jamieson Community Center

Share

Jamieson Community Center Executive Director Nancy Mowen is seeking two congregate meal site managers before reopening in multiple locations this summer for area seniors:

“We currently have about 175 people we are serving lunch to Monday through Friday. Some of the people that we are delivering to, would be able to go to the congregate meal sites. We have some others who go to the congregate meal sites not only for the lunch, but also for the socialization. Those will be at Strom Center in Monmouth, at the Kirkwood Senior Center, the Senior Center in Oquawka, Stronghurst, and then we have added Mercer County, so we will have a site at the Mercer County Senior Center in Aledo. Then we will serve in Alexis Tuesdays and Thursdays and in Roseville on Fridays.”

Additionally, the free summer meals through the Jamieson Community Center for children aged 1 to 18 will begin Monday, June 13th, serving at noon Mondays through Fridays at Jamieson Community Center, Lincoln Homes, and Central Intermediate School coinciding with the Monmouth Park Program.
