Carl Sandburg College’s Workforce Development and Community Education provides workshops, classes, and educational trips to inspire learning for children and adults. Ten non-credit courses will be offered throughout the summer on Sandburg’s campus in Galesburg for students in 2nd through 12th grade, shares Director Kang Hee Hong:
“To register you can email us at community@sandburg.edu or call us at 309-345-3501. The first program starts June 14th and they go all the way to August 4th. An important thing is there are scholarships available based on financial needs. We will go through that when people call and register. I also want to emphasize that this is actually a very unique opportunity because this year’s summer camp is all led by our Carl Sandburg College teachers. This is a great opportunity for students to meet them in person, interact, and ask any questions, because they might be their future professors.”
Camps and classes offered this summer include, a Cross Country Camp, Camp Lumber Jane, Esports University, Fitness Bootcamp, Words! Words! Words!, CSI: Sandburg, College to Career Bootcamp, a Manufacturing Camp, Agriculture Camp, and Don’t Slurp Your Spaghetti Manners Camp. Compete details on classes and registration can be found below:
