Due to a variety of factors, the Primary Election in the state of Illinois is set for June 28th. Warren County Clerk and Recorder Tina Conard says while the ballot will be long, she does not believe locally there will be many contested races:
“Because of COVID and the census not getting done early enough and we had to redistrict. I will tell you that none of our county board districts or precincts changed, but certainly our legislative districts have changed. Up for vote we have congress, 17th Congressional District, and then we have our local races; we have the County Clerk and Recorder, Treasurer, Sheriff, the Regional Office of Education, and then we have county board members. Every county board member’s position is up for re-election.”
Early voting at the Warren County Courthouse begins May 19th and will run through June 27th.
