Harold L. Saline, 71, of Galesburg, IL passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg, IL.

Harold was born on August 19, 1950, in Galesburg, IL. He was the son of Dean and Fern (Reed) Saline. Harold married, Terrie Campbell on December 14, 1974, at Maxey Chapel Church in Appleton, IL. Together they built a life and celebrated 47 years of marriage. Harold is survived by his wife, Terrie of Galesburg, IL; his daughters Misty (Matthew) Lerner of Elmwood Park, IL and Brenna (Travis Hornik) Saline of Minneapolis, MN; siblings, Barb Heimer and Jerry Saline both of Knoxville, IL; grandchildren, Mckinley and Maddox Lerner; brother-in-law, Jerry Fordyce of Abingdon, IL; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Janice Fordyce; granddaughter, Maddyn Lerner; and brother-in-law, Bill Heimer.

Harold received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois, Champaign. He was the Superintendent of the Galesburg Waste Water Treatment Plant. Harold retired in 2015 after many years of service. Harold’s favorite thing to do was to spend time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. on Sunday, June 5, 2022, at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes & Crematory in Knoxville, IL. A Celebration of Life will follow the visitation from 5:00 PM to 7:00 at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 1556 East Fremont Street, Galesburg, IL. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, June 6, 2022, at the Knoxville Cemetery, Knoxville, IL.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the fourth-floor nurses and staff at OSF St. Mary Medical Center for their exceptional care.
