Hot Weather Breaks Records in Eastern Iowa, Western Illinois

After breaking records Wednesday, the summer-like records is breaking records more records Thursday in eastern Iowa and western Illinois.  The National Weather Service says Thursday's temperature in the Quad Cities reached 95 degrees, breaking the previous daily high of 94 set in 1956.  Cedar Rapids also broke their May 12th record by reaching 93 degrees, three degrees higher than the previous record, which was set back in 1896.
