Monmouth resident Karla Wallace was recognized at the recent Monmouth City Council meeting for her services and actions provided to the community. Mayor Rod Davies has more:

“Karla has done her back-to-school program for kids down at South Park in the summer. She has done that for; I think this will be her 9th year. We also wanted to recognize Karla for that effort for our community members and also recognize members from the police and fire departments for their support of her program. They are always there to offer supplies, there with the apparatuses and support, and do some presentations for the kids.”

Karla will host her first of three BINGO night fundraisers on Thursday, May 26th at the Monmouth American Legion to raise funds for the Backpack Program event.
