Linda M. Sederwall, age 73, of North Hollywood, California passed away at 12:30 am PST on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at Valley Presbyterian Hospital in Van Nuys, California. She was born on January 7, 1948 in Barry, Illinois and is the daughter of Arthur N. and Avis Lohmeier Sederwall. Linda grew up in Biggsville, Illinois where she graduated from Union High School as a member of the Class of 1966. From 1966 to 1970 she attended the Burlington Hospital School of Nursing in Burlington, Iowa. She began her career at Community Memorial Hospital in Monmouth, Illinois and later moved to Hawaii to work at the Kaiser Foundation. From there, she moved to California where she held a charge nurse position at Northridge Hospital before she moved to Hemacare Corporation in Van Nuys, California. At Hemacare she worked as an apheresis specialist RN, and during that time Linda finished earning her B.S. degree at Chapman College in Orange, California. Linda retired in 2011 after 25 years of employment at Hemacare. Linda enjoyed retirement and she loved to travel when her health allowed. She went to Hawaii to take an ” Ultimate Vacation ” while she worked there as a nurse. She made trips back to Hawaii more than once because she loved the islands. She traveled a lot, and she enjoyed reading, knitting, and Facebook and connecting often with many friends from early years on up to the present. Linda is survived by her cousins, Richard Sederwall of Quincy, Illinois,  Robert Sederwall of Nixa, Missouri, John Sederwall of Akron, Ohio, Ruthie Jolly of Barry, Illinois, Nancy Schramm of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Roger Riggs of Springfield, Illinois and some extended cousins.  

A graveside funeral service for the interment of her ashes, is planned at 11:00 am on Saturday May 7, 2022 on the Sederwall Lot in Biggsville Township Cemetery. A memorial fund for the Biggsville United Methodist Church has been established. A “Celebration of her life” is then planned following the graveside service, at the Lynn Hotel in Biggsville, Illinois. Her family would like to greet you there and share their memories.  Following the her celebration, a tour of the Turnbull Heritage Museum is planned at the former Sederwall Chapel, her father’s former funeral home in Biggsville.
