Monmouth Fire and American Red Cross Installing Smoke Alarms and Providing Home Fire Safety This Saturday
This Saturday, May 21st, the Monmouth Fire Department along with the American Red Cross will be installing smoke alarms and providing home fire safety to Monmouth residents, says Monmouth Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Kelli Kinzer:
“They still have openings for people to sign up to have their families home assessed and install smoke detectors if needed. They also need volunteers still. Anyone wanting to take the training, it’s about a 30-minute training at the Monmouth Fire Department Station #1. Then they will set you up in teams and they have someone doing a home assessment while the other person is installing the fire alarms.”
The Sound the Alarm event with the Monmouth Fire Department and American Red Cross this Saturday will be held 9 am to 2 pm.
