Monmouth Municipal Airport Nearing Completion

Share

Monthly fees at the newly constructed Monmouth Municipal Airport hangar have been increased and approved by Council to $100 a month. With the hangars essentially completed, Mayor Rod Davies says only a few outside projects on the property remain:

“We have been approved for the parking lot on the west side, approvement on the access road, and some aprons that will be done as well. Then we hope to get started on a corporate office and a corporate hangar. We have had some inquiries in the past for a fixed based operator to come in there and work on aircrafts and kind of run it for us, so we are going to be looking into that next.”

Additionally, Mayor Davies says the Monmouth Flying Club is planning to hold the annual Fly-In Breakfast in July.
