The Monmouth Police Department is seeking dispatchers, says Police Chief Joe Switzer:

“There are a lot of characteristics that ideal candidates have to have. You don’t have to be experienced to do the job. We provide the training for you. It is a lengthy training program, approximately three months. You have to have good multitasking skills, have to be able to talk to people on the phone, on the radio, to the officers, and other emergency services.”

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and will be subject to a background check. This position requires a high school education or equivalent. Applications can be found at http://cityofmonmouth.com.
