Rose F. Fasano

Rose F. Fasano, 87, of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 8:50 a.m., May 23, 2022 at her home.

She was born on October 14, 1934 in South Williamsport, PA, the daughter of Cesare J. and Anna (DeGregorio) Fiorini.  Rose was raised and educated in Williamsport and graduated from St. Joseph’s High School in 1952. 

Rose married Gerard Fasano on September 2, 1957 at St. Lawrence Church in South Williamsport, PA; he preceded her in death on September 19, 1999. 

Rose worked as a library aid and librarian at St. Joseph’s Catholic School in Mechanicsburg, PA and the Mechanicsburg Public Library until her retirement.  She enjoyed reading, cooking, and visiting with her family and friends. 

Surviving Rose are her children, Christopher (Cathy) Fasano of Monmouth, IL, Julie (Robert) Fasano Lang of Reisterstown, MD; grandson, Patrick (Charlotte Wood) Fasano of Mishawaka, IN; granddaughter, Cecilia Fasano of Iowa City, IA. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Gerard; brothers Lorado Fiorini & Frank Fiorini. 

A Memorial Mass will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Immaculate Conception Church, Monmouth, IL.  Interment will be at a later date in Pennsylvania.  Cremation rites have been accorded.  Memorials can be made to Catholic Relief Services; www.crs.org.  McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL, is in charge of the arrangements.  For more information or to leave an online condolence please visit, www.mcguireanddaviesfuneralhome.com.
