Choral Dynamics of Galesburg is Back This Weekend for Their 89th Production

This weekend, Choral Dynamics of Galesburg will present their 89th performance, entitled “C’mon Get Happy” at the Orpheum Theatre at 7:30 pm Friday, June 3rd and Saturday, June 4th and at two o’clock Sunday, June 5th. A non-auditioned group of singers and performers, Development Chair Carol Maloney shares the programs long standing history:

“Choral Dynamics, we began in 1976. We are a choral organization. We do two shows a year, both of them at the Orpheum Theatre. We do one traditionally at Christmas time and then we have one in June, usually the first weekend after Memorial Day. We are unique I think in the fact that we incorporate a lot of solos, ensembles, all sorts of things like that, and we incorporate a lot of instrumentalists, but we also have a philanthropic arm. Our organization for each show we choose a beneficiary, and they sell ads for our program booklet and then they receive all the proceeds from those ad sales. Throughout our history, since 1976, we have been able to contribute close to $600,000 to the Galesburg community and surrounding area.”

The FISH Food Pantry has been selected as the beneficiary for this weekend’s show. Donations of nonperishable food items will also be collected at the door for the FISH Food Pantry. Tickets for “C’mon Get Happy” are available at the Orpheum Theatre Box Office, online at https://choraldynamics.org/, or at the door.
