Dorothy J. Dahlstrom, 97, of Wataga, Illinois, passed away peacefully June 1, 2022 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg.

She was born February 14, 1925 in Galesburg the daughter of Gerald and Iva (Hoff) Robertson. She married Richard Houlihan and he preceded her in death. She later married Herbert Dahlstrom and he also preceded her in death.

Dorothy is survived by a daughter, Jeanne (and Ronald) Johnson of Wataga; three step-daughters, Lynn (and Wayne) Swedeen of Tucson, Arizona, Cindy (Ron) Engstrom of Athens, Illinois, and Mary (Durk) Offringa of Stuart, Florida; grandchildren, Kim (and Jesse Andrae) Marshall, Doug Marshall and his daughter, Taylor Marshall, and Randy (and Fiancé Gina Schutte) Johnson; a step-granddaughter, Jenny Behrents; and three great-great grandchildren, Aanderson, Parker, and Autumn.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy Marshall; brother, Samuel Robertson; grandson, Andrew Marshall; step-son Terry Dahlstrom; and step-grandson, Todd Engstrom; and her cat of 22 years, Fluffy Sue.

Dorothy attended Galesburg High School with the class of 1943. She worked at OMC in Galesburg as a coil tester for over 30 years retiring in 1982.She loved dancing, cooking, traveling and most of all spending time with her family.

Cremation will be accorded. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Knox County Humane Society.
