Jason Paul Brinkman, 82, of Galesburg, died peacefully at his home Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at 7:05 p.m.

Jason was born November 1, 1939 in Savanna, Illinois the son of Martin E. and Philomena G. (Dennison) Brinkman.  Jason worked with his father on the family farm until his death in 1960.  Jason later worked for several years as a bagger and sorter for Pioneer Seed Co.  After moving to Galesburg, Jason spent many years working at KCCDD.

Jason had several interests including large print word finds, all things John Wayne, and good ice-cold Dr. Pepper.  He participated in the Special Olympics for many years.  Jason had a wonderful smile and gave great hugs.  Jason was an important part of Froelich House family for many years and he will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg.  Graveside services will follow at 1 p.m. at Lower York Cemetery, Thomson, Illinois.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Froelich House, 356 Michigan Ave., Galesburg, Illinois 61401.  Online expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.watsonthomas.com
