The Knox County Area Partnership will host their annual event this Thursday, June 16th, at 3 pm at the Orpheum Theater in Galesburg. President Ken Springer shares a panel discussion will feature individuals who have relocated to the region:
“This year we are going to do a panel and we thought it would be a cool idea to grab some individuals who have recently relocated to our region from elsewhere and just talk to them about how they view this region as outsiders, what assets and strengths really were the things that drew them to this region, and what makes them want to stay. I think it is going to be a really interesting conversation, particularly because for those of us that have lived here for a while, you look at the community with different eyes as a resident versus a newcomer. I think this is going to be a really interesting conversation for any kind of elected officials, decision makers, and businesses that are looking to recruit employees form elsewhere.”
The Knox County Area Partnership’s annual event is free and open to the public.
