Northwestern Softball Eliminated in College World Series

The Northwestern Wildcats softball team is done for the season.  The team managed just five hits in a 6-1 loss to UCLA in the Women’s College World Series on Friday night.  Grace Nieto had two hits and drove in the Wildcats’ only run, while Danielle Williams was tagged with the loss after surrendering five earned runs and one unearned run in seven innings of work.  The loss eliminated Northwestern from the tournament, and they finished the season with a 45-and-13 record.
