Owner of the Western Illinois Fieldhouse in Alexis has Big Plans for the Future
Alexis-native and former Alexis Cardinal high school sports standout Kyle Flowers purchased the Fieldhouse in Alexis from Rick Bertelsen in February of 2021. Flowers officially renamed the property the Western Illinois Fieldhouse and immediately started doing improvements and renovations on the building and grounds. According to the website https://westernillinoisfieldhouse.com/ Flowers says his goal, or mission, was to create the most incredible, family-friendly, community center experience that he possibly could.
Although sports is a big part of what’s going on at the Fieldhouse, Flowers has made sure that his vision of the future includes more than just athletics.
Flowers is also the creator of CORE, Completely Original Revolutionary Experience, and features a turf field with the game combining the elements of basketball and football. It can be played in any gymnasium. For more information on CORE, click HERE
For more information on what’s happening at the Fieldhouse in Alexis, go to their website, https://westernillinoisfieldhouse.com/ or their Facebook page, Western Illinois Fieldhouse.
