Todd Allen Klockenga, 53 of Abingdon, passed away at 5:38 a.m. Monday, June 20, 2022 at his home after a very courageous battle against Pancreatic Cancer.

  He was born September 20, 1968 in Galesburg, the son of Bruce C. and Sandra L. (Flint) Klockenga.  He married Michelle “Mickey” Lomax on May 23, 1998 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Abingdon.

  Todd is survived by his wife, Mickey; his sons, Dylan of Du Quoin, Illinois and Tanner at home; his mother, Sandra L. (Patrick) Wilckens of Knoxville; his siblings, Janine (Fred) Perez of San Antonio, Texas, Elizabeth (David) Booton of Peoria, Michael (Tami) Wilckens of Wataga and Andrew (Jeanette) Wilckens of Farmington; numerous nieces and nephews including a special niece, Kota Sopher (Josh Granell) of Moline; his bonus family, in-laws, Larry and Sherry Lomax of Abingdon; his sister-in-law, Katie (Kyle) Thurman and special nephews, Charlie and Luke Thurman.

  He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Julie Stinson.

  Todd grew up in the Berwick area and graduated from Roseville High School in 1987.  He attended Carl Sandburg College in Galesburg.  He worked as a Millwright at the former Butler Manufacturing in Galesburg and later at BNSF, where he started in the Maintenance of Way Division and later worked as a Conductor.  He lived most of his adult life in the Galesburg and Abingdon areas.  He was a volunteer fireman for the Abingdon Fire Protection District.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing and anything in the outdoors.  He was a member of the Berwick Baptist Church and attended the St. Augustine Catholic Church with his family and in-laws. 

  Cremation will be accorded.  To celebrate his life, his family will receive relatives and friends from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 25, 2022 at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Abingdon Chapel.  Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 27, 2022 at the Abingdon Cemetery.  Rev. Tom Smith will officiate.
