Amy (Patch) Monroe, 52, of Abingdon, passed away unexpectedly on July 5, 2022.

Amy was born on November 15, 1969 to Jim Patch and Connie (Missie) Nelson in Galesburg.  Amy graduated from Abingdon High School.  Amy enjoyed needle working in her younger years, followed by a love for crocheting. Amy shared these talents with her mother Missie.

According to Amy’s friends she was the ‘helper’.  She helped to get people to work on time and was there always to help if/when she could. 

Amy was preceded in death by her brother Daniel Patch, her grandfather Hassel Cox and mother Connie (Missie) Cox.

She is survived by her nieces & nephews; JD (Alex) Patch and children Dominick, Theodore and Jackson. Lani (John) German and children Zane and Zoey. Keely Patch and Connor Patch.

Also surviving are her father Jim (Kathe) Patch, and brother Jimmy Patch. Her bonus grandmother Eleanor Landon & extended family as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

There will be a celebration of life date/time announced soon.  Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Abingdon Chapel is assisting her family with cremation arrangements.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
