Burlington Man Arrested by Henderson County Deputies After Fleeing Traffic Stop

Henderson County Deputy Matthew Link releases the arrest of Tyler E. Green, age 23 of Burlington, IA. On Friday, July 22nd, 2022 at approximately 7:20pm a Deputy attempted to stop Green on US 34 for a traffic violation. Green would not stop for the Deputy. The Deputy was able to pull in front of Green and slow him to a stop. When the Deputy exited his squad Green fled from the stop. The Deputy attempted to stop Green again but he continued to flee. Due to the high traffic and Green’s erratic driving the Deputy decided to discontinue the pursuit for the public and other motorist’s safety. Citizens’ reported seeing the vehicle in the Oquawka area, at a residence. Deputies located the vehicle with Green still in the driver’s seat. Green would not obey Deputies commands to exit the vehicle. Green was extracted from the vehicle and arrested. Green is charged with Aggravated Fleeing and Eluding, Speeding 40 plus miles an hour over the speed limit, No Driver’s License, and Resisting a Peace Officer. Green is currently housed in the Henderson County Jail awaiting a bond hearing. Green is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
