Elaine I. Alvarado, 59, of Little York, IL, passed away at 8:47 p.m., Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at her home.
She was born on March 2, 1963 in Honolulu, HI, the daughter of Guadalupe Olivarez and Elaine Ilani (Melemai) Alvarado. Elaine grew up in a military family and lived all over the United States.
Elaine worked for many years in food service in several area nursing homes. She was an excellent cook and in her free time she loved to fish.
Surviving Elaine are three sisters; Juanita Alvarado of Colorado Springs, CO, Esther (David) Rivera of Colorado Springs, CO, Leilani Yvellez of San Diego, CA; one brother, Guadalupe O. (Christine) Alvarado, III of Honolulu, HI; one step sister, Lupita Hernandez of Greeley, CO. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews and her surrogate family, Katy Unger and her Children; Andrew, Logan, Kindra, and Chrissy and Dorris Gillette.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Yolanda Cabello; nephew, Dominic Wheeler; niece, Christina Tafoya; and nephew, Christopher Rivera.
Cremation rites have been accorded. No visitation or services are planned. Memorials can be made to the Elaine Alvarado Memorial Fund and sent to the funeral home.
