IL Tollway Urges Safe Driving in Work Zones Over the 4th of July Holiday Weekend

Share

The Illinois Tollway is urging the public to drive safely in work zones over the Fourth of July holiday weekend. Officials anticipate about nine point six million vehicles to travel the tollway system over the holiday says Spokesperson Dan Rozek.

“That is up a little bit from the year before and with all that traffic, we are asking drivers to pay particular attention in work zones and slow down, follow posted speed limits, and avoid distracted driving.”

Rozek says construction will be restricted wherever possible to help with traffic flow from noon on Friday until 9 a-m Tuesday.
