Local United Way Celebrating Hispanic Heritage with the Community

On September 17th, the United Way of Greater Warren County will host a Hispanic Heritage Festival on the Public Square in Downtown Monmouth. Executive Director Jeannie Weber previews the events attendees can enjoy:

“We are going to have food from a variety of Hispanic vendors. Some of them are currently restaurant owners and others are some that are already doing food service, but they may not necessarily have a building that they are working out of. G&M Distributors purchased a Hispanic themed bar for us. We have several different artists coming. The first group is Mariachi Campianos. They are very beloved in the Hispanic community. We have Ballet Folklorico and those of you who have seen them at any fiesta in the Quad Cities would know that it is a very colorful and beautiful display. Then we are going to have DJ Pelle Mix who is going to be spinning all kinds of Spanish music.”

The Hispanic Heritage Festival will be held from 5 to 10 pm in Downtown Monmouth.
