Moline Post 246 Claims American Legion Sr. Baseball 3rd Division Title

Moline Post 246 is the American Sr. Legion Baseball 3rd Division champion after shutting out Rock Island Post 200, 5-0 on Saturday in Peoria. It’s (24-10) Moline’s first Division championship since 2017. They will move on to the Illinois State Tournament in Aviston, east of metro St. Louis.

After losing in the first round, Galesburg Post 285 ran off three straight wins on the consolation side of the tournament, before losing to Rock Island 3-2 in the consolation final. Galesburg won their first game on Friday 10-4 over East Moline before running out of gas on a hot day in the 3-2 loss to Rock Island. Galesburg ends their first season since shutting the program down four years ago at (23-10).
