One in Custody Following Fatal Stabbing Incident in Macomb

Macomb Police has a person of interest in custody.

Investigators are still working this case and gathering all the facts, but we want the public to know this was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public.

Stabbing Investigation

(Macomb, IL) – Macomb Police Department is actively investigating an altercation, which evolved into a stabbing, on the downtown Square. One subject is deceased. Resources from the WIU Office of Public Safety, the McDonough County Sheriff’s Office, Illinois State Police, and Crime Scene Units are assisting with the investigation. We will have regular updates as the investigation progresses.
