Robert A. Adkisson, a resident of rural Roseville, died on Monday January 24, 2022, at 2:42 am in Courtyard Estates, Monmouth Ill. He was born on November 5, 1927, in Point Pleasant Township, the son of Josiah T. and Martha M. (Moore) Adkisson.

He attended Chattanooga country school and Roseville High School and graduated from University of Illinois in Electrical Engineering in 1949.

He married Irma M. White on September 17, 1949, in Roseville. She preceded him in death on January 22, 2009.

He is survived by one son Stanley (Aleta) Adkisson of Corvallis OR, one daughter Robyn Adkisson of Galesburg, two grandchildren Nathan (Claire) Adkisson and Lauren Adkisson, and one great-grandson Matias.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, wife, and one brother Philip.

Mr. Adkisson worked as an engineer for Consumers Power Company in Michigan for 6 years, returning to farm in Illinois in 1955, He retired from farming in 2002. Member of the Roseville United Methodist Church.

Cremation rites have been accorded; Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 17, 2022 in the Roseville United Methodist Church, Roseville, IL. A memorial fund had been established for the Roseville United Methodist Church, Alzheimer’s Association, World Wildlife Foundation.
