Western IL Grazing Group Working to Educate Producers Statewide

The Western Illinois Grazing Group meets three to four times a summer where they visit various grazing operations and educate other producers and famers on ways to improve their own operations. Trevor Toland, Vice Chairman of the Illinois Grazing Lands Coalition, says the organization is working to expand statewide:

Toland says livestock producers are using Management Intensive Rotational Grazing to increase productivity and the number of cattle they can run, which the Western Illinois Grazing Group gives producers a chance to see first-hand to incorporate in their own operations.
