Abingdon-Avon Football Will Look to Bounce Back from Week One Loss on the Turf at GHS

The Abingdon-Avon football team will be playing their upcoming home game on Saturday at the artificial turf field of Galesburg High School, as the field at Abingdon-Avon High School is not quite ready for play due to recent renovations. Head Coach for the Tornadoes, Rick Quinn says the artificial turf at the Streaks field could be beneficial for his ball club.

Abingdon-Avon dropped their first game of the season 41-12 at ROWVA/Williamsfield in a Lincoln Trail Conference match up. The Tornadoes have another LTC contest in week two, facing off on Saturday against the Rebels of Stark County. Stark County beat Nokomis (nuh-KOE-miss) 49-21 in their season opener.
