All-Star Sports Academy Coming to Galesburg Community

Share

A new sports academy will be opening in Galesburg. Knox County Area Partnership President Ken Springer says local entrepreneur Mike Spinx has acquired a property on Grand Avenue that will be torn down and a new facility constructed in its place:

“The plan is to build a new structure and it is going to be a business called All Star Sports Academy which is going to have batting cages, a little arcade, and some retail so it should be a really good thing for the community. There will be some sports instruction there and in general just give our youth a new place to go and do stuff. Mike Spinx who actually does this already up in the Chicago area already is based here in Galesburg. The first step is to just tear the building down and clear the site and then this project will come back with some additional stuff before council when it comes to constructing the new building.”

Timeline of completion for the All-Star Sports Academy will be made known at a later time.
