Betty L. Painter, age 93, of Monmouth, passed away at 9:34 pm on Saturday August 20, 2022 at Seminary Manor in Galesburg, Illinois. Betty was born on July 31, 1929 in Monmouth, IL and is the daughter of John and Nellie Bird McKee Frazee. She was raised in Roseville, where she attended Roseville High School and graduated with class of 1947. She then married Eugene M. “Connie” Painter on June 26 1948 in Rock Island. He preceded her in death on January 25, 2009. Betty was a homemaker in her own home where she took care of her children and her family. Betty enjoyed going square dancing with her husband locally and she enjoyed traveling and spending the winter in Florida with her husband. Betty most enjoyed her children and great grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters, Cindy Kalin and Kip of Monmouth, Illinois and Kim Kollar and John of Arvada, Colorado. Her son, Steve Painter and Patti survive and live in Hot Springs AR. There are nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and three great, great, grandchildren. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, husband Connie, son Chris, step daughter Sher, and a grandson Dana.

A graveside funeral service will be held Friday, August 26 at Monmouth Cemetery at 10:30a.m. Her family plans visitation and will receive their friends Thursday August 25, 2022 from 5-7 p.m. at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth.
