Cardinals Acquire RP Romero

The St. Louis Cardinals are getting some depth to their bullpen.  The team acquired minor league reliever JoJo Romero in a trade with the Phillies on Saturday.  Infielder Edmundo Sosa was sent to Philadelphia to complete the deal.  Romero has appeared in two games this season.  He’s 0-and-0 with a 13.50 ERA.  In other team news, the Cards are still one of the frontrunners in the trade markets for both Nationals outfielder Juan Soto and A’s starting pitcher Frankie Montas.  The MLB trade deadline is tomorrow.
