Richard Neal Ault, age 63, of Monmouth, Illinois, passed away at 6:25 on Wednesday August 10, 2022 at his residence in Roseville, Illinois. Neal was born on October 15, 1958 in Monmouth and is the son of Ralph and Dorothy Schweitzer Ault. Neal was raised in the Monmouth Area where he attended Warren School. He previously married Michelle “Shelley” Widener and she preceded him in his death on May 30, 2011. Neal began his working career working factories locally, namely Gate Rubber Company in Galesburg, Illinois. He later purchased Monmouth Bowling Lanes from Eddie Craig and owned and operated that for many years. He also drove a truck for Starr Trucking out of Morton, Illinois for a time. The bowling lanes were his passion in life for many years to follow. He is survived by a daughter, Abby Conard in Ohio, and two sons, Dustin Ault of Burlington, Iowa and Brandon Ault of Galesburg, Illinois. There are ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren also surviving. Neal’s sister, Ruth Shimmin and Steve and his brother William Ault and Caroline his sister in law, Sue Ault, and brother in laws, Al Kulczewski and Mike Widener all surviving him and live in Monmouth, Illinois  Also a number of nieces and nephews are surviving. He is preceded in his death by his grandparents and parents, a granddaughter, Ireland Christine Ault, his sister, Peggy Kulczewski and brother, Wayne Ault.  

A gathering of his family and friends is planned prior to and at 10:30 am on Friday August 19,  2022 at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth, Illinois. Cremation has been accorded Neal.
