Three Teens Arrested In Connection To Fight At Peoria Stadium

Three teens are facing charges following a fight a last week at Peoria Stadium. Authorities say the brawl broke out Friday night during the first half of a high school football game between Peoria Central and Metamora. Police arrested a 17-year-old boy, 15-year-old boy and 16-year-old boy for Mob Action. All three males were District 150 students. People in the stands ran from their seats after officers hit a metal bench with their metal batons in an attempt to break up the fight. Some fans mistook the sounds for gunfire. The game was halted at that point with Peoria leading 34-16 early in the second quarter. Initially, the game was postponed to Saturday, but Metamora chose to not resume the game, forfeiting the win to Peoria. The incident remains under investigation.
